Sudeste Brasileiro de FE continua na Mídia

Sudeste Brasileiro FE na Tempo

South-East Brazil FE Championship

The first stop of the Brazilian FE Circuit couldn't be better. It was held on Guarapiranga lake in São Paulo and organized by Tempo Wind Clube together with the I Starboard Innovation Festival. The event was a huge success with sailors from south to north Brazil traveling to São Paulo. The first races were disputed on Friday, but the official opening was on Saturday with the participation of the mayor of São Paulo city, Mr Gilberto Kassab.

The South-East Brazil FE Championship received also the invited Raceboard and FW classes. 7 races were disputed for each fleet when the wind was above the minimum for the Formula Experience class.

The FE team from Brasília, familiarized with fresh waters and shift winds found at Guarapiranga, took 4 of the 5 first positions on the final classification. A trophy will be offered to the state team with better results over the year. The competition is very exciting but the interchange among different people from different places is the most important attractive ingredient of the FE circuit. There are expert sailors helping newcomers to enjoy the new class. The atmosphere of the event is the total integration between everybody involved with the Formula Experience Class.

At the race course there were great competition with the races switching positions all the time. After 7 races, Marcello Morrone (Starboard, Severne, Salad Creations) finished in first place at Open and Masters divisions. Leonardo Venturini was the best Junior and João Costa won on the Gran Masters division.

The next step of the Brazilian FE circuit will be held from June 11 to 14 in Florianópolis, at the same venue of the next Brazilian Championship in October.
